Big news! The project team and the board have been speaking with the city council of Eindhoven about establishing Atelier of Light in this city. And now, the most beautiful place imaginable has opened up: on the first floor of 'the White Lady' (Witte Dame), Philips's oldest factory building, right opposite the Philips Museum. An important step!

Start of the pilot: cooperation with Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

Atelier of Light's pilot will make its appearance in the studios of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam from 22 December 2012 to 6 January 2013.
Young children (3 - 8 years) and their (grand)parents or other accompanying adults are welcome to experiment, research and create in the inspiring space.

In Atelier of Light, artistic and scientific aspects of light come together in several work stations. Visitors can use these work stations to explore various appearances of light, including reflection, projection, color mixing and splitting, and phosphorence. You can use installations with various light sources, light tables, overhead projectors and a phosphorescent wall on which children can draw.

And the exhibited collection of the Stedelijk, with light installations by Dan Flavin, Bruce Nauman, Simone Forti and others, inspires to see light in new ways.

PILOT-PROJECT
